For 40 years, the family-run company MEVO has shaped Switzerland’s window and façade construction industry. Quality has always been at its core: premium raw materials, in-house production, and installations carried out by MEVO’s own team. Peter Meier has been managing the company for over 30 years. In 2018, he also took on the role of Central President of the AM Suisse Employers’ Association, overseeing the metal construction and agricultural technology sectors.
“In the past, site inspections were a constant challenge because of ID and certificate management,” he recalls. “We had no efficient solution for managing documents and credentials. Some employees forgot their certificates, others carried expired ones. For our administration, this often meant an entire extra day of work.”
With stricter site inspections, new compliance regulations, mandatory certifications, and ongoing digitalization, it quickly became clear to Mr. Meier: he needed a solution that saves time, simplifies processes, and keeps everything organized.
By coincidence, he met Claudio Genasci at a Rotary Club event, who told him about a new project — the Equasio system. The idea: a digital tool designed specifically for the construction industry to centrally manage IDs, expiry dates, inspections, and internal communication.

“After a presentation for our association, we got a first demo. The software wasn’t perfect yet, but we immediately saw its potential,” says Meier. “The system was continuously improved based directly on feedback from test clients — until the final launch version was ready.”
Equasio and AM Suisse are closely connected: the association’s pilot operations were once based in Langenthal, which today is home to Equasio’s headquarters. AM Suisse financed the rollout for its members and still offers the solution to all companies within the association.
Today, Equasio is an integral part of daily work at MEVO — no more paper chaos, no forgotten certificates, no time-consuming document searches, and seamless internal communication.
